Copper Division:

Bubbles Car Wash of North Bay started their run to the finals defeating North Bay’s Come & Get It.  From there, they continued their winning streak defeating Sinking Feeling from Sudbury and We Pick Pockets of Ottawa. In the championship final they faced Sinking Feeling again and only needed the first set to claim the title, 103 to 66.

We Pick Pockets won their opening match over Were Here and Bay Brewing of North Bay and Simon Says from Subury before losing to Bubbles Car Wash. On the losers side of the bracket they defeated third place finisher Sinking Feeling by a score of 102 to 130 to earn a spot in the final.

Women’s Bronze Division:

Last years defending champion, Coyote Sexy from Sudbury were once again crowned as champions. In their first outing they lost to North Bay’s Jabb then won their next four outings against Slightly Stacked and Prianha from North Bay. They then defeated Balls In Hand of Sudbury and in the quarterfinals, North Bay’s Four Play to advance to the Championship Play Off. In the first set of the final, it was Coyote Sexy getting revenge on Jabb, handing them a 116 to 104 loss and setting the stage for a sudden death match. Again, Coyote Sexy won by a score of 117 to 81 to regain their title.

Bronze Division:

There were 24 teams participating in the bronze division.  In an all North Bay final, Pool Time captured the title defeating Renegades in the first set of the final. To get to the final, Pool Time defeated Sudbury’s Rez Rollers and North Bay’s Something Stupid. In their next outing, they defeated Bucky’s Painting of North Bay. They then faced Camel Toes and handed them a loss to advance to the final. 

Renegades road to the final saw them defeat Knights from Toronto, Grumpy’s Group of Sudbury, Metal Fab from North Bay before losing to eventual third place finisher, Camel Toes. Once on the loser’s side of the bracket, they rebounded and defeated Bucky’s Painting once again to earn a spot in the final.

Silver Division:

This top gun division had a very strong field of 21 teams. Tailgators of Ottawa claimed the title going through the double knockout tournament without a loss until the final. They defeated Ball Movement from Sault Ste. Marie, Walking Tall and Kami K’ozzy’s of Sudbury, North Bay’s First Dog Team and Predators before reaching the final.

Predators defeated All In from Toronto, I’m With Stupid from Ottawa, North Bay’s Coutract Eagles and Creative Impressions before losing to Tailgators in the quarterfinals. They then defeated third place finisher Kami K’ozzy’s 132 to 86 and a trip to the final.

Predators took the first set over Tailgators, forcing a second and deciding match. It was Tailgators emerging as champions with the 142 to 127 win to claim the title.

Hard Luck Mixed Division # 1:

Hard Luck # 1 was won by Ottawa’s Missing In Action, defeating The Drifters of Sudbury 105 to 51 in the final.

Hard Luck Mixed Division # 2:

Hard Luck # 2 was won by North Bay’s It Ain’t Easy who defeated Slightly Stalked, also from North Bay.
